"Going Home For My father's death"

"Going Home For My Father's Death" is a look at the life and events leading to the death of one of the two thieves crucified with Jesus.  An elderly fellow relates the event from his distant past, beginning with his return home at the age of 26 after an eight-year absence.  His return creates a multitude of emotions within him as he comes to realize how things in his family really were, much different from his childhood perceptions.  More importantly, he came to grips with the tendency within his family to determine their own morality and to justify themselves regardless of what they did.  Some things, he came to see, you can't justify, and before God the only thing you can only repent of your sin.  The death of the young man's father clarified that point to him so many years ago when he had come home for his father's death.
